Tickets are sure to be precious as producers of The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale, the stage production based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic trilogy, have announced the 2025 Australian tour will include seasons in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.

Crown Theatre Perth will transform into Middle-earth from March 19, where the Australian cast — with one ring to rule them all — will include Wicked alumni Jemma Rix as Galadriel, Stefanie Caccamo (Black Swan State Theatre Company’s Once) as Arwen and Rob Mallett as Strider, Mallet last seen on the Crown Theatre Perth stage as Elvis Presley in bio-musical Elvis: A Musical Revolution.

Rarmian Newton takes on the role of Frodo Baggins, with Laurence Boxhall as Gollum and Terence Crawford as Gandalf.

Producer Kevin Wallace said it was thrilling to have this stellar group of Australian theatre talent soon heading into rehearsals to create the Australian production of Paul Hart’s acclaimed theatrical production, which premiered in 2023 at The Watermill Theatre in the UK.
