SPOILERS ALERT: This coverage includes winner results.

The 64th TV Week Logie Awards has wrapped up and Australia has now discovered who has won the coveted Gold Logie.

The Logies Red Carpet was underway at The Star in Sydney with the awards event, hosted by Sam Pang, kicking off at 7.30pm AEST on Sunday.

Seven stars Larry Emdur and Sonia Kruger went head-to-head in the battle for the Gold Logie.

Kruger was nominated for her work across Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice and Logies Red Carpet, while Emdur was up for The Chase Australia and The Morning Show.

Other nominees include Nine star Andy Lee for his work on The Hundred With Andy Lee, Asher Keddie for the Binge drama Strife, Julia Morris and Robert Irwin for their work on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Tony Armstrong for ABC’s News Breakfast.

This year, the awards has changed format slightly, dispensing with its most outstanding categories in favour of “best” awards.

A woman was inducted into the TV Week Logies Hall of fame, only the fourth time this has happened.

Hosted by comedian Sam Pang with not a dull moment in sight, the ceremony consisted of 24 awards and 13 segments, and featured musical acts James Bay, plus Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy performing songs from John Farnham: Finding The Voice.

Larry Emdur wins gold!

He did it!

He bloody did it!

Our boy Laz has taken it home - and about time.

Even though he’s been on air forever, implausibly he’s never actually been nominated.

But this was his year, and he stood up to accept amidst trumpets, cheers - and LOTS of golden ticker tape.

“Forty years I have been in this business, and 25, maybe 30, times I have sat in the room and wondered how it might feel to stand up here,” he said.

Bonus points to Larry, who managed to squeeze in mention of tattooing his bum, vulvas and dry-humping in his raucously funny acceptance speech.

All hail TV’s Most Axed Man!

May he end his night with the mother of all “Larry Emdurs” - and if you don’t know what I mean by that, then you clearly weren’t watching right to the end!

Thanks for blogging along with me - how great is Aussie TV’s Night of Nights?

Seriously, the best!

It’s been so fun - but seriously, let’s all go to bed now, ok?

Night all!

RFDS has won the Best Drama Logie

This show is so good!

Up until now it’s kinda been overshadowed by other flashier Drama contenders.

About time it got the gong, I say.

It’s back for a third season, and if you haven’t seen it yet, rectify this IMMEDIATELY.

Side note: how nice they thanked frontline care workers and the RFDS.

Besties Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor present Best Drama Program

These two - just the absolute best!

And not even a mistake in the background graphics can dampen my enthusiasm for their double-act comedy bants.

The nominees in BEST DRAMA program (this is the correct category people, keep up!) are:

  • Love Me (Binge)
  • NCIS: Sydney (Paramount+)
  • RFDS (Seven Network)
  • The Newsreader (ABC)
  • The Tourist (Stan)
  • Total Control (ABC)

Ali Langdon takes out Logie for Best news or Public Affairs Presenter

This is her first individual award - and she looks genuinely shocked.

“I love journalism, all of us in this category do,” she says, before admitting they also all love chasing “a dodgy builder.”

And honestly: same.

This time for Have You Been Paying Attention - it’s the show’s eighth win.

Conveniently, host Sam Pang, is RIGHT THERE to help accept.

True to form, Pang, Kavalee and Gleisner took the opportunity to sledge one another during their speeches.

We love to see it.

It’s his second award for Boy Swallows Universe.

“This is quite crazy, isn’t it,” he says, beforeadding the last award he won was ‘Student of the Week’ in Grade 5.

He gives everyone a shout-out, “thank you for the most amazing experience of my life,” he says.

Gosh I love this little dude.
