Homicide detectives charge woman, 32, with manslaughter over death of man known to her in Jindalee

A 32-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a man known to her in Jindalee. Police were alerted to an unresponsive man near a silver Mitsubishi Outlander on Marmion Avenue, Jindalee at about 5.40pm on Saturday. The vehicle was captured by security video on Carmathen Avenue at 5.26pm, pulling up outside a home before quickly reversing back towards Marmion Ave. “There was a lot of screaming. It sounds like someone was pissed off with the other person,” a resident told 7NEWS. Some living nearby tried to help the man, who was aged in his 30s, until paramedics took over. But he could not be revived and died. “I was watching him. Watching him dying. It was just distressing,” the resident said. Homicide detectives revealed on Monday morning they had charged a 32-year-old woman, who is known to the deceased, with manslaughter. She is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on Monday. Tributes were left at the scene on Sunday, with a woman laying flowers and a man who arrived on a scooter — with his face covered — spray painting “rest in peace” on a nearby wall.
