A man accused of killing his partner will face trial on allegations he murdered her inside her southwestern Sydney unit.

Tatiana Dokhotaru, 34, was found dead inside her Norfolk Street, Liverpool apartment in May last year.

Police arrested her former partner Danny Zayat at his Colyton unit in August 2023 before he was charged with her murder.

It has been alleged he murdered his partner in a domestic violence incident.

Mr Zayat’s matter was mentioned inside Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday where he was committed to face trial in the NSW Supreme Court.

He will face arraignment at a later date, when he will formally enter a plea.

He is also facing 17 separate back-up domestic violence offences including multiple counts of assault, stalk/intimidate and contravening an AVO.

He is yet to enter a plea to those charges.

Mr Zayat will now appear before the Supreme Court in December.
