Carers, family members, and those who live with a disability are being asked to help shape a disability action plan that will help reduce some of the barriers faced by people in the South West.

Advocacy WA will be holding a free community storytelling workshop at the Boundary Room at Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre on November 15 for Harvey residents with a disability, family members and carers to make their voices heard.

The event seeks to highlight issues faced by people with a disability in the community and develop action plans to address them.

Advocacy WA’s workshops are part of a co-design local disability network the organisation is rolling out across four councils in the South West in association with People With disabilities WA.

The event will run between 9.15am and 1.30pm, and food will be provided. Those seeking to attend are required to book their spot at HarveyStory.eventbrite.com.au.

Other workshops will be held later this month and early in December in Greenbushes, Busselton, Bridgetown, and Margaret River.
