The Bunbury Harvey Regional Council waste education team has created a website to help residents sort out their household waste.

The mobile phone friendly Watch Your Waste website and education program was developed in the South West for residents of Harvey and surrounds who use the Stanley Road waste facility.

The program aims to educate the community on using the two and three-bin systems and uses branding developed by the State Government.

Waste education officer Taryn Davis wrote the content for the website and is hoping it will help residents facing confusion around what can go in their recycling bins as well as educate them on using their FOGO bin correctly.

“Education and reducing the amount of waste the community produces is a really important part of my role,” Ms Davis said.

“I encourage people to pop the website on the home screen of their phone so all the information they need about their waste service, including calendars and what can and can’t go in their bins, is at their fingertips.”

To view the site visit watchyourwaste.wa.gov.au then select your council.
