There was a stark difference in the two seniors competitions in the Harvey Basketball Association last week as Round 3 of the 2022/23 competition came to a head.

Two of the three games in the men’s competition on Tuesday ended in a draw, with the table-leading Cowboys having the bye.

The Mavericks and Bulls both ended their match on 43 points, while Jumars and Kaizen Elite Basketball drew 51-all.

Jumar’s Dylan Trickett and Aaron Faulkner, along with Kaizen Elite Basketball’s Kryss Kiel Alinsonorin, were the leading point scorers of the round, all three scoring 17.

In the other match of the round, the second-placed Blazers scored a 47-41 win against the fourth-placed Suns.

Frank Pergoliti was the winning team’s leading point scorer, notching 15.

Results in the women’s competition were a stark contrast, with Djinda reasserting its position over the competition with an 84-26 thumping of the Mettlers.

Sierraleone Simpson and Sophia Tomas dominated the court, scoring 28 and 22 points respectively.

The Bulls also scored a major win over the Fillies, defeating them 50-21.

Tanieka Handley scored 15 points and was the game’s highest points scorer.
