Fatal crashes witness plea

The South West has suffered a tragic start to the year after three fatalities on our roads this month.

Major crash officers are still investigating the three separate crashes and are urging witnesses to come forward.

A 34-year-old Bunbury man died in a single vehicle crash in Uduc on Wednesday morning.

Police said the man was travelling to work along Forestry Road in a 1990 model Holden Commodore.

About 5.45am the man lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree on Forestry Road near Thornton Drive.

Just days earlier a 69-year-old woman died when her motorcycle crashed on Nanga Brook Road near Waroona on January 21.

The woman was riding her red and black 2017 model Triumph motorcycle along the road between Waroona and Dwellingup about 11.15am.

Police believe she may have failed to negotiate a left-hand bend when the motorcycle left the road and struck a tree.

She received critical injuries and died at the scene.

Earlier this month a 52-year-old Waroona man died after the vehicle he was driving rolled over.

About 3.50pm on January 8, the man lost control of a white Mitsubishi truck fitted with a water tank and the vehicle rolled.

The driver received fatal injuries and a three-year-old child passenger sustained a shoulder injury and was airlifted to Perth Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
