Gallery: Red Cross women gather for rally
Red Cross volunteers from across the region met in fellowship on May 7 at Brunswick for the annual South West Regional Rally.
Branches from Brunswick, Harvey, Dardanup, Naturaliste and Busselton gathered at the showgrounds to discuss changes in the organisation and to catch up.
South West regional president Carmel Sanderson said the rally was a chance for fellowship between clubs as well as discussing the direction of the organisation.
“It’s just fellowship and learning what we’re all doing,” she said.
Harvey shire president Tania Jackson was on hand to officially open the rally.
Harvey shire councillor Anita Shortland was a guest speaker, telling the rally about the South West Women’s Refuge’s work, of which she is chief executive officer.
“She gave us a very interesting talk on how they operate there,” Ms Sanderson said.
