Harvey AFL Watch: Brady Hough reportedly avoids serious knee injury, Ethan Hughes continues good WAFL form

Harvey product Brady Hough looks to have avoided a serious knee injury in West Coast’s final game of the AFL season. The Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault junior made an early exit from the Eagles’ season-ending 97-point loss to Geelong in round 24 after an awkward landing. He was substituted out of the game in the third term. West Coast are yet to comment on the injury but 7NEWS Perth’s Ryan Daniels reported scans had shown no major damage to the rising star’s knee. In the WAFL, fellow HBL product Ethan Hughes was one of 12 Fremantle-listed players to feature in the WAFL qualifying final as Peel suffered a 17-point loss to Swan Districts at Lane Group Stadium on Saturday. The 30-year-old gathered 17 disposals and took six marks in the loss, which has plunged the Thunder into a semifinal clash with Claremont this weekend. Hughes, who comes out of contract at the end of the season, has been one of the Dockers’ strongest performers in the State league since losing his place in the AFL side early in the season. He has averaged 18.8 disposals and seven marks per game across 15 appearances for the Thunder this year.
