Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre crowned WA Presenter of the Year at CircuitWest Pinnacle Awards

The Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre has come out on top at the CircuitWest Pinnacle Awards after being crowned WA Presenter of the Year. The prize celebrates the best in the live performance industry in WA and was presented on November 1 at Perth’s Octagon Theatre. HRCC was nominated for supporting and developing new WA productions as well as an “outstanding” commitment to its support for WA work. Shire of Harvey president Paul Gillett said the HRCC had developed a reputation for outstanding and diverse performances. “The award celebrates the best in live performance industry across the whole State of Western Australia,” he said. “Congratulations to the amazing team at HRCC for all the work you do to bring quality cultural experiences to our Shire for the community to enjoy.” CircuitWest director Ryan Taaffe said it was a tough selection process with so many individuals and organisations delivering such high quality across the State. "The award is about excellence in all its forms and this has meant that the spectrum of presenters and producers recognised has been very wide," he said. Winners for the producer of the year and the people’s Pinnacle Award were producer Annette Carmichael and Julian Canny for their comedy Euphorium.
