The Preston Beach Golf Club are rolling out the green carpet next weekend, inviting the community to attend their annual spring fete.

On September 22, from 11am to 3pm, the club will host a range of stalls including a sausage sizzle and food vans stretched across the green, as well as an inflatable obstacle course and bouncy castle.

Club captain Gary Knight said he expected this year to be the club’s biggest fete on record, with about 1000 people to drop by throughout the day.

“This is going to be a great cheap day out with the family,” he said.

‘It’s a gold coin donation to get in, and we’ll have raffles with good prizes, burgers and a bunch of stalls.”

Mr Knight said the day was about raising funds all while building a community.

“It’s a big fundraising day for us, but it is also about raising general awareness with the community,” he said.

“Everyone is welcome.”
