Australind’s biggest youth festival is back bigger and better this year, with plenty of school holiday entertainment on offer.

Now in its second year, the Shire of Harvey Youthchella will make its mark on the Ridley Place Australind Foreshore this weekend.

Focusing on the Shire’s youth population, the event will be jam-packed with activities.

The day will feature “electric performances” from Perth indie pop band King Blue and fellow Perth act RubyHoo, alongside plenty of activities including bungy jumping, bubble soccer and laser tag.

Those who prefer things to be a bit less chaotic will be catered for, with a Youthchella Quiet Zone to be set up as a dedicated space for people to chill and unwind.

Local emergency services teams will be down at the event for participants to meet, while they will also be able to chat to youth mental health organisations and take the steering wheel in a driving simulator.

Youthchella will be drug, alcohol and smoke free, with the event supported by a combined $8000 in funding from Southern Ports, Tronox and South32.

It all takes place runs on Saturday from 4-7pm.
