The kitchen of a Waroona eatery is set to be the stage for a French festin (feast) as the local venue prepares for its second international culinary experience.

Waroona’s newest eatery, the Roasted Radish, is running a second Food for Thought event exploring French cuisine, with the Radish’s owner Melinda Osborne excited to share more of her cooking with the community.

Having successfully ran her first French food event in August, Mrs Osborne said she was looking forward to her second, scheduled for October 3.

Mrs Osborne said she was always looking to expand her repertoire, with cooking being her primary source of creativity.

“Most people go to bed with a novel, I go to bed with a cookbook,” she said.

“I guess, I’m a creative person, so I always like to cook in different styles of food.

“Cooking for me is my creative outlet. It’s my happy place when I’m cooking.”

The two-hour event will start from 6.30pm, with four courses planned with guests to bring their own beer and wine.

“I hope the people can taste the love in the food I make, because I really do put a lot of effort into what I cook,” Mrs Osborne said.
