A Sydney man has been charged over his alleged role in an anti-Israeli attack in which a car was torched and buildings were sprayed with graffiti last week.

The 20-year-old is due to face Downing Centre Local Court on Monday after he was arrested by police earlier in the day and charged with a slew of offences over the incident in which one car was set on fire at Woollahra and a further nine cars and three buildings were defaced.

No one was harmed during the incident and police have estimated the damage bill could be as high as $100,000.

Police launched Strike Force Mylor and said that two people were captured on CCTV fleeing the scene.

On the weekend, police also launched an appeal for information to speak to the driver of a Holden Captiva that may have been in the area at the time.

The car was set alight on Wellington St, Woollahra shortly after midnight on Thursday.

Another vehicle also received minor damage as a result of the other vehicle being set alight.

Nine other cars were sprayed with graffiti on Wellington, Tara, Fullerton and Ocean streets.

Cars were covered in white spray paint that read “f**k Israel”.
