Thousands gathered in Brunswick at the weekend as cowboys and cowgirls took to the area to strut their stuff as the rodeo rolled into town.
Double Barrel Entertainment debuted their first ever Brunswick Rodeo on Saturday — an event which marked the end of the West Australian Rodeo season.
About 4500 people descended to watch the nearly 300 entries battle it out on bucking bulls, balance on bareback stallions and compete in adrenaline pumping races.
Double Barrel’s Mark Kestel said the turnout was great and a testament to the support of the event from local businesses and the Harvey shire.
He said should the rodeo prove to be a hit with the locals, they’re hoping to see it return next year, becoming an annual event on the rodeo calendar.
“We hope to make it a regular thing for sure, we would love it,” he said.
