Spring into Waroona: Events to be held across the Shire to celebrate the season

Waroona is set to celebrate spring in a big way, with plans to host a roster of new and much-loved annual events throughout the season. Spring into Waroona will span from September to November across the Shire, and include annual community favourites such as Troutfest and the Waroona Agricultural Show as well as some brand new entertainment options for residents. Returning on September 25 is the beloved All Australian Car Day. This year organisers have teamed up with the Vintage Machinery Rally to deliver an exhibition on all things vintage. October will see Lake Clifton play host to a wildflower walk, with environmental enthusiasts due to meet at Preston Beach on September 21 for a Natural Resource Management and Coastal Conference sundowner. Drakesbrook Weir will once again become trout central on October 15 as well as hosting community markets and a three-day electronic music festival. Shire president Mike Walmsley encouraged the community to attend “as many events as possible”. “There really is something for everyone regardless of your age or background,” he said. “Spring is such a beautiful time to spend time in Waroona, so tell your friends and family to come for a visit and take advantage of all the activities that are running.” More details can be found on the Shire of Waroona website.
