The Myalup Community Association is inviting people to get along to the Myalup Easter Fair on Sunday.

“Myalup comes alive for a day of family fun, attracting locals and the many travellers who are enjoying the region during the Easter period,” event coordinator Sarah Taylor said.

“The focus of the event is ‘good, old-fashioned, family fun,’ with a little something for everyone.”

This year’s community fundraiser event will feature children’s activities from 10am including an Easter egg hunt, sandcastle competition, Easter bonnet parade and an old-fashioned sideshow with a pick-a-stick and bean-bag toss.

“There will also be a pet competition and parade, which attracts entrants from all over the region – even Perth,” Ms Taylor said.

Market stalls will showcase goods from local businesses alongside cheese and wine tasting, and the main hall will be decked with unique works from the event’s art exhibition and the Youth Art Competition.

“People can even try their luck on the chocolate wheel to help with fundraising efforts for the Myalup Volunteer Bushfire Brigade,” Ms Taylor said.

Entertainment in the afternoon will include a live band, and a special visit from the Easter bunny.

The Myalup Easter Fair is on this Sunday at the Myalup Hall from 10am-3pm, with entry by gold coin donation.
