Magic reclaim crown as kings of Waroona Amateur Basketball Association senior men’s competition in Round 5

The senior men’s Magic side has reclaimed top spot on the ladder after returning from their bye in the Waroona Amateur Basketball Association competition. The Kings have been relegated again to second spot during their bye after their rivals scored a 61-45 win over the Bush Chooks. Anthony Hansen again showed his magic touch, scoring 16 points, closely followed by teammate Jurrell Hansen with 14 points. In the other senior men’s matches, the Warriors scored a solid 52-39 victory over the Suns, while Rent-A-Crowd just got up over the Bulls with a 41-39 win. The senior women’s competition was a bit less competitive, with the top-of-the-table Cruisers sailing home to victory with a 44-20 win over the Kings. Phoneix managed to defeat the Blue Birds 36-22, with Mackenzie Pitter helping her team to victory by scoring 18 points. The Young Bloods managed to more than double the Slammers’ score to finish their match 33-15.
