Truck driver assaulted during attempted theft

A truck driver has been injured after an attempted theft of his vehicle at a truck stop near Myalup.

About 11.45pm on Tuesday, the Star Track truck was parked alongside Forrest Highway south of Settlers Roadhouse when the driver was assaulted by an unknown male offender who then attempted to steal the truck.

The driver received minor injuries.

Police say the offender fled the scene, either on foot or in a vehicle.
