South Sydney has informed the NRL integrity unit about a photo of Latrell Mitchell that has emerged and shows the injured fullback leaning over a table with what appears to be a white substance.

There is no suggestion that the substance is anything illegal, with the grainy image showing Mitchell in the room with an unidentified woman and what appears to be a raspberry Vodka Cruiser.

It’s unclear who released the image, which was reportedly taken over the weekend while he was doing community work in Dubbo.

“The South Sydney Rabbitohs have been made aware of a photograph circulating through social media of Latrell Mitchell following a personal appearance in Dubbo on the weekend,” a club statement read.

“The club has informed the NRL integrity unit about the photograph.

“The Rabbitohs will be making no further comment at this stage.”

The NRL has been contacted for comment.

Mitchell has been out for five weeks with a serious foot injury that ruled him out of the State of Origin decider, with the club hopeful he may be able to return at some stage this season even though they can’t make the finals.
