Josh Giddey has produced a triple-double on return from injury in leading Chicago to a thrilling 116-111 NBA win over Milwaukee.

Back after four games out with an ankle sprain, the 22-year-old Australian guard had 23 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and a block before home fans on Saturday night.

He sank two free throws with 10 seconds left to make it 115-111, then pulled down a rebound to help seal it as Chicago snapped a three-game losing streak.

It was the 13th triple-double of Giddey's NBA career and his second for the Bulls since his off-season arrival from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Bulls (14-18) also had 23 points from Nikola Vucevic while guard Coby White had 22 and Zach LaVine had 15.

Milwaukee (16-14) were without superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) for a fourth straight match, with Damian Lillard 29 points, 11 assists) stepping up, while centre Brook Lopez scored 22 and Khris Middleton 21.

The Game Cricket 2024-25

Giddey's countryman Josh Green scored 10 points but his lowly-placed Charlotte Hornets (7-24) suffered another loss, beaten 106-94 at home by the Thunder.

All-Star Shae Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma with 22 points while Miles Bridges had 19 for the Hornets.

Playing without Australian defensive wizard Dyson Daniels, Atlanta continued their impressive NBA season with a 120-110 win over Miami.

Regular starter Daniels was missing through illness as the Hawks (17-15) closed out a four-game home stand with a third straight win.

Jalen Johnson scored 28 points - two shy of his career high in the previous game against Chicago - while star point guard Trae Young added his 22nd double-double of the season, with 11 points and a whopping 15 assists.

De'Andre Hunter contributed 26 points in his 14th consecutive game with at least 15 points coming off the bench.

For the Heat, Tyler Herro scored 28 points and dished out 10 assists and Bam Adebayo added 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The runaway NBA leader in steals this season, 21-year-old Daniels has proven a hit with the Hawks since his offseason trade from New Orleans, averaging 13.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.1 steals.

In other games on Saturday, the LA Lakers beat the visiting Sacramento 132-122, Philadelphia won 114-111 at Utah, Portland won at home 126-122 against Dallas, Golden State won 109-105 over the visiting Phoenix Suns, Denver won 134-121 at home to Detroit, and the New York Knicks won 136-132 at Washington.
