Australia will be looking to put their foot to the floor to carve out a win at the Gabba, with a defiant India and Brisbane’s rain standing in their path.
Recap the last day here.
That’s a wrap
A very frustrating match ends in a soggy draw but the silver lining is there will be no dead rubbers in this series.
Australia now need to win the final two matches or get a win and a draw to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The next Test is in Melbourne on Boxing Day.
Until then, farewell!
Shock retirement!
Ravi Ashwin has informed media in the post-match press conference that he has retired from all forms of International cricket effective immediatly.
He took no questions but received applause as he departed.
He was also spotted speaking to Nathan Lyon after the match was called.
Man of the Match
Travis Head is named Man of the Match again for his 150 in the first innings.
Brilliance and rain
While the match overall was destroyed by rain there were plenty of moments to remember and that could be important for the rest of the series.
Travis Head is dominating with another century while Steve Smith finally broke through with the bat for Test match ton 33.
Smith also reeled in a pearler of a catch on day four.
It’s a draw
The Aussie staffers are all shaking hands and as a lightening warning comes through it looks like the match has been called.
Australia did their best to set up a tantalising finish but Brisbane’s weather gets the last say, ruining what could have been an epic Test match.
It leaves the series tied at 1-1 heading to the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
No change
Nothing has changed at the Gabba as dark clouds circle and the drizzle remains.
Bad News
It looks wet again in Brisbane and if they stay off for much longer there will be no chance of a return.
Early tea
They have called the Tea break in the hopes the light improves.
